A GoFundMe For the Xenophobic Lawyer Whose Meltdown Went Viral Hires a Mariachi Band to Play Outside His Office

Mariachis For Aaron Schlossberg” is a GoFundMe page started in the honor of the lawyer who had a meltdown at a Midtown Manhattan lunch spot after he caught some of its workers speaking in Spanish.

And now, some good Samaritans who wanted to brighten up Schlossberg’s very bad day hatched a plan: Crowdfund a mariachi band to show up at this firm “to cheer up the staff and attorneys at The Law Office of Aaron M. Schlossberg Esq. P.L.L.C. after a difficult day.”

From the GoFundMe page:

We are requesting the band to sing the famous, endearing, and warm spanish children song, La Cucaracha, the cockroach.

We are countering hate and racism with the sound of music.

Any leftover money will be used to send a delicious Taco Truck lunch to the staff and a copy of all federal and state statute mentioning undocumented immigrants do not qualify for welfare

The fund, after blasting past its $500 goal, announced that a mariachi band had offered to perform at Schlossberg’s office pro bono. That left the fund’s organizers with enough money to sponsor a taco truck, which they said will be dispatched to the offices — and filmed — on Thursday. So keep an eye out for video of Mr. Schlossberg enjoying some delicious Mexican fare.
