If they do this, then they need to charge obese people for two seats. I hate to say that, but as a small person, I do not want to be squished in my seat any more than I have been in the past. I travel by air as rarely as possible because of the cramped seating.

Trains are looking better and better.

If you don't believe me, try riding somewhere on Amtrak.
