(58,737 posts)Pirro is on shaky ground indeed if she thinks Omar's wearing a hijab indicates an adherence to Sharia Law. For that matter, a hijab is puny compared to the headwear worn by Bella Abzug, and that was decades ago (and like Bella used to say, "it's what's under the hat that counts!" . If anyone thinks what Omar or AOC is saying in unprecedented, they should look up some of Bella Abzug's quotes.

And of course, her famous campaign line that got he elected into the House: This womans place is in the House the House of Representatives.
There are some trails being blazed today, for sure, but there are some that are treading in the footsteps of some rather memorable trailblazers that have already gone before us.
As for Pirro herself, will she come clean on the clothes she is wearing? After all, Leviticus 19:19 says, "You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material." And if she did, too, wear a garment of cloth made from two kinds of material? Will she enter a convent and repent for the rest of her days? Or does she think that irrelevant admonitions from religious texts only merit negative scrutiny when they come from the religious texts of others?
