The House even voted to hold him in contempt (with fewer than half of Democrats supporting him)... and he still didn't comply.

Of course the criminal complaint never went anywhere since those go to the DOJ and he was the head of the DOJ (see Barr's title as reference). Years later a court ordered him to turn over non-privileged information, but some of it was never released.
