In reply to the discussion: I believe Trump's inflammatory twitters are for two reasons. [View all]ehrnst
(32,640 posts)36. So you're changing your statement... Does that mean you agree that Dem leaders do get it?
Good.
You're welcome.
Its the job of Dem leaders to educate the people about what is going on - the dismantling of the government that is meant to protect us, our resources and our democracy - and to ask who stands to gain from this destruction. Loudly and clearly.

In the White House, there is, among some people, a real disrespect for federal employees, animated by their disrespect for the government generally, House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.), whose district includes part of Prince Georges County, said in a brief interview. So if youre hostile to government, youre then . . . hostile to those who work in government.

Speaker Pelosi has allowed the impeachment investigation terminology only to obtain court docs.
That's a new accusation.
Now how does Pelosi silence "impeachment investigation terminology?" Can you give us an example?
If she did, people would be alarmed, yes, but they should be alarmed - alarmed enough to demand that this traitor be removed from office.
I see alarm all over the place. Maybe you're not on social media, or don't read any newspapers, or listen to public radio.
People seem to be more informed than you think about the impossibility of "removing" him prior elections in 2020 (Barring a complete change of personality in either Pence and the cabinet, or Mitch McConnell). People don't need to "demand elections" - unless you think that Trump is planning on cancelling elections, and you're concerned that Pelosi will somehow "let him," if they don't demand that she doesn't
So, having having a basic understanding the total lack of any mechanism to do so, why do you think that people "demanding that be be removed" prior to elections 2020 be a good thing? That would indicate that they have unrealistic expectations, and congress has NOT effectively communicated to the public about how impeachment would not remove him. People are alarmed about the heat wave - would demanding that Pelosi "do something about it" have any value at all other than to people who want to see the public get angry at her?

Yes, I think he just generally wants attention, and instigates chaos and outrage to do it.
