That's just idiotic and so far from reality. As someone who carried a gun on the job before, that gun causes the carrier to be way way more confrontational. A person with a gun is way less likely to let some small slight go, they will almost 100% of the time feel the need to speak up.

I always wonder if one of these open carry cowards has had their skull split open from behind by someone who didn't know why they had a gun in a store. As in, "Oh, this guy has his gun, he's probably going to shoot someone, I'll grab this crowbar off the store shelf, sneak up behind him and give him a hard whack to the skull to KO him and save people."
