(14,463 posts)I think we are all pretty aware that Trump is already personally indebted and serving Putin's interests.
So.. if thats the criteria.. our Government is already gone.
But.. Personal life =/ name based financial house of cards.
If Trump had divested, or put it all in blind trust, It wouldn't be an issue, as no one would know what they needed to go after to harm his finances.
Plus... Even if they destroy every cent of whatever assets he had on entering the presidency... He has a secure exit. Either he leaves office with a more generous pension than he deserves, and definitely a reasonable amount for any person to live on, plus 10 years of secret service protection... Or he has free long term room and board at taxpayer expense as the various trials resolve. Either way he is set for life in a fashion more generous than he actually deserves.
