... as a former web master (I had 3+ domains I ran for a few years, gun coded them myself), sometimes we need to acknowledge that the information and sharing of that information comes first. There would be nothing wrong with turning off all javascript, hot linking and just about anything that goes into the CGI bin (some of that stuff can really eat up CPU and memory assets) during high traffic times or when under attack or risk of attack.

The information matters, the fancy curtains, not so much...
