12. Wait until Wednesday morning.

If Valerie wins the primary, she is practically assured of winning her House seat, since NM3 is a blue district. That is what she had her heart set upon, and I haven't even mentioned VP to her at all. I would never attempt to put her name in play for VP without her approval. Even prominent people have their own lives and their own agendas.

Before I contacted my friend in the DNC about getting Rev. William Barber to speak at the 2016 convention, I asked Barber personally if he was OK with it (he said he'd be honored, so I went ahead, and whaddya know, he delivered a knockout speech at the convention). But I have no idea what Valerie is thinking about life after the primary if she loses. Her children are not old enough yet to be out on their own, and she might not want the VP slot even if handed to her on a silver platter. It wouldn't be fair to get her involved without asking her first.

Like I said, that only even becomes a subject for discussion if she is not our nominee for NM-3 come Wednesday morning, and we are all hoping at this point that she is.
