Why do conservatives act so shocked at Romney's secret comments?

Do they not all believe that taxes are too high? Do they not all believe that too many people are on government assistance? Do they not all believe that they are the producers and everyone else is a "moocher"?

Do they not know that the Republican Party has always been against Social Security and Medicare, even though all of them take advantage of both government programs?

Why are they so shocked that the Republican Party is ready to throw everyone overboard that does not support the wealthy class with more tax cuts? Do they not know that the actual true constituency for the Republican Party is the top 1%-2% of the population? Do they not know that the rest are suckers for a political philosophy that does not exist in reality?
