5. Bob Woodward is a first class investigative reporter.

You don't break the story until you have the bulk of it. He needed to give Trump more time to basically "hang" himself with his own words.
Trump voluntarily gave those interviews and in his immense hubris he seemed to have forgotten who he was talking to.
He gave us absolute proof of his incompetence; his callous disregard for the people of this country; his pathological need to puff himself up and stroke his own ego.

I'm glad Woodward held off until now. Releasing Trump's words several months earlier wouldn't have changed Trump's response to the Covid virus. It would only have served to cut off the best source to the inner workings of Trump's "mind" that this nation could ever have...his own words.
