12. The period when my ex-wife claimed to be pregnant...

... with my child, just DAYS after I divorced her, was a very low-point for me too.

She gave me a pic of the ultrasound, and a trip to the medical school library at my university indicated otherwise. She finally admitted it wasn't my child, and what a sense of relief!

She and her mother had basically promised to use the child to try to wreck my life. The article points to a similar situation for him.

Not to mention the feeling of deep remorse, bringing a child into the world who would be influenced by my ex-wife and her family.
