...why an industry that the public does not purchase directly from is advertising; particularly during the evening news.
GE and Shell advertise their environmental emphasis too. Shell makes a little more sense because at least people choose who they purchase their gasoline from, but when I see one of these GE ads; I wonder what it is that they are up to that they don't want on the news.
It doesn't appear to be common knowledge that GE manufactured the nuclear plant that were (and are) such a problem in Japan.
