interesting if not too much trouble. I always thought the sales tax disproportionately affected low income, in the sense that the basics (food, clothing, cars etc,) the same tax rate applies to buying very high end goods (yachts, Gucci, BMWs . Is that incorrect? Is there a "luxury tax" in existence, which would attempt to address the differences?
