11. I think a 2024 Harris/Trump matchup is far from certain, even if Biden doesn't run

First, Trump could be dead or in jail, and DeSantis wants to be the nominee so badly I believe he would kill for it (oh look, he already has).

Secondly, whether one believes Harris should be the de facto nominee if Biden doesn’t run, she would definitely have competition in the primaries- who that competition would be would determine if she is the eventual nominee.

Thirdly, a lot can happen between now and 2024, most importantly, COVID, infrastructure and voting rights. All three will likely have a deciding impact on the 2024 race.

Afghanistan will likely be a faded memory with little to no impact.
