2. Concern about it will continue to fade

Covid is going to be around for years if not decades. There’s nothing practical we can do to eradicate it. I think variants will weaken the next few years and then we just quit caring about it, no more so than the common cold. Once that happens, vaccines and everything else won’t be an issue anymore either.

Some people won’t be able to let it go though no matter what, they are so invested emotionally in just the response to it that it has become their identity.
