some men were giving up and he told them, just think, if we can keep going and live, nothing will ever seem hard again.

The famous Shackleton ad for adventurers to join him.

"Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success."
