4. Way before Rome.

I stated in the other thread, which now has more people commenting and concerned about your comment than the original post about anti-Semitism, thus my first comment.

Anti-Semitism has roots as far back as to BCE and centuries before Rome came onto the picture. I am not surprised people know so little about the history of anti-Semitism, it is long and complicated, much like the history of the Jews, which few people seem to understand or take into account. When it comes to Jews and hatred against us, few seem to care or understand unless it can be spun into another narrative or is discussed in tandem with a variety of other bigotries. There is also the nasty of habit of those who decry telling others what and how their experiences are, but when it comes to telling Jews (to say 'splaining" ), suddenly everyone is an instant expert in anti-Semitism, Jews and our history and culture.

"Hate is a feature, not a bug." That sums it up.
