Patriot Front arrested in Idaho .....🤣

94. I have two thoughts on that

1) Patriot Front has massive presence (well, as massive as fifty or sixty Nazis can have) in the I-5 corridor between Seattle and Portland. It’s not that far from their normal working area to Cd’A.

2) Because this area is so full of Republicans, they believed they’d be seen as saviors by the “good people” of the area.

What they did not consider:

1) Thanks to the Aryan Nations, Shaun Winkler’s KKK klavern, Ruby Ridge, the Montana Freemen, various sovereign citizen splinter groups, and so on and so forth, North Idaho has no tolerance for extremists.

2) Very few people around here give a shit about if you’re gay or not. The Big Boss at the paper is married to another man. They go to all sorts of social events and they fit right in. Oh, believe you me in 2015-17 the hard right was totally freaking out about gay marriage; they said this whole area was just going to be sucked into the bowels of hell because we were thwarting God’s will by allowing this, but after we hadn’t been sucked into the bowels of hell they found something else to complain about. Right now the biggest club on North Idaho College is GSA - it started out as Gay Straight Alliance but they change their name every couple of years so I don’t know what it is now. And between Spokane and Cd’A you’ll find at least two drag shows a week.

On the other hand, the fascist biker club that set up the gun rally in McEuen Park changed it to a prayer rally a couple of days ago and asked people to leave their guns home. We did a front-page story on the Pride event; we did no story at all on the other one.
