A fascist took power in Italy. Hungary and Turkey still have authoritarians who are gaining power. China is looking increasingly authoritarian. Sure, Putin is crapping the bed in his war. Fascism lost at the ballot box in the US. Brazil rejected autocracy. But Authoritarianism in Israel and other places took a step forward.
