(103,077 posts)as it becomes more clear that celebrity, fame, and wealth are AT LEAST as much motivation (if not more) for this as addressing the horrible episodes of racism and issues with the royal family and the British tabloids. I still hold sympathy for them but I don't want to be pushed toward the camp of thinking they are merely exploiting these issues for self-benefit. And at some point (maybe after the Oprah interview), I would have thought long and hard about how might be the most EFFECTIVE way of getting their message out and particularly the part of their story that might lead to change. I don't see that in their strategy thus far.
What is most disturbing to me is the likelihood that Harry will cease to have any real relationship with his father and brother with all this and what comes next. If by chance his relationship with Meghan fails at some point (just citing statistics, nothing else)--well, how sad that would be. He will have fully aired his grievances and then some, but did it serve to make anything better?
