7. They will never cut SS for the "over 65" crowd.

They might lose FL if they do that. But they have no problem cutting the benefits of the younger folks. In fact, that works very well for them because it does nothing in the immediate term for the budget, so they can continue to rail about deficits and the debt to continue cutting more things they don't like.

But luckily, we are safe for 2 years with Biden in charge.
