10. The thing about Fitzmas was that--in retrospect--it was all very small potatoes.

We all thought Karl Rove would be the big fish to be indicted, and maybe, somehow, some way, he'd implicate Dick Cheney along the way. Most people didn't even reasonably think it would actually bring down Dubya himself.

The level of what we thought Fitzmas would be for the Bush administration has already long been eclipsed by the actual amount of people around Donald Trump who have been brought down, indicted, implicated, pled out, etc. We had two impeachments, and even though they didn't result in Senate convictions, they were still a permanent stain to Trump's reputation (including the fact that he was the first President to have members of his own party vote for his conviction in the Senate trial.)

Yes, the actual Fitzmas was a dud, but we've had multiple Fitzmas-like events over and over again when it comes to Trump and his cronies.

The only thing left is Trump himself. And that's coming.
