Just Stupid - No Real Consequences - POLL [View all]
A flight from Houston to Amsterdam had to divert to Chicago due to an unruly passenger. They had to dump a bunch of fuel, unload the idiot, and arrived in Amsterdam four hours late.
Why? Well he "appeared intoxicated"... which is a common theme... but the reason is he didn't get his first choice of meal. He was in row 11 of business class.
If I were airlines I'd start going after these people. We need a national no-fly list for bad passengers to start. Then they need to go after them for the financial impact of their actions. Bill them for the dumped fuel, any cost the airline ends up paying other passengers for missed flight expenses, and the flight crews time. Write it into the contract when you buy a ticket.
Bad behavior shouldn't be tolerated like it is

DO YOU THINK UNRULY PASSENGERS SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FINANCIALLY FOR THEIR COST TO THE AIRLINE TO REIMBURSE THEM?
