(28,504 posts)89. I don't understand your argument. Those members do identify as democratic socialists
        and they are elected Democrats. It's a big tent party, one doesn't have to give up also identifying as other things. 
AOC will explain. Being a democratic socialist is "part of what I am, it's not all of what I am. ... Democrats are a big tent party. I'm not trying to impose an ideology on all several hundred members of Congress."
