Democratic socialism is a left-wing political philosophy that supports political democracy and some form of a socially owned economy. Democratic Socialists of America is an organization.

Words have meanings.

organization

1. an organized body of people with a particular purpose, especially a business, society, association, etc.
"two local organizations assisted with rescuing the animals"

2.the action of organizing something.
"the organization of conferences and seminars"

philosophy

Quite literally, the term "philosophy" mean "love of wisdom."

1.the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when considered as an academic discipline.

2. a particular system of philosophical thought.
plural noun: philosophies
"Schopenhauer’s philosophy"

3. the study of the theoretical basis of a particular branch of knowledge or experience.
"the philosophy of science""
