9. I think it would be too confusing at this point

due to how "distributed" Mastodon is.

The thing with "Threads" is that it obviously ties in with Facebook and other Meta stuff that they already have licenses with, so it seemed the natural jumping on point. It is going to take time but I think folks, at least in government that used twitter/X for public communications, are watching how the thing is being destroyed piece by piece, and thus had to evaluate a different method (the easiest to integrate), as much of the public (at least the younger ones), and even media, rely on it for info.
