(19,641 posts)- The anti-Israel protestors didn't go into the library because it's closed on Thanksgiving. It's a lucky thing too because this research collection (endowed in 1897) is located on the first floor.
- Had they gotten into the library, there would be no easily available books to destroy. It's a research library with a world famous reading room, but the majority of the books are held in the subterranean Milstein Research Stacks and in the additional seven stack floors.
- The library is located on 5th and 42nd. The parade route does not include 5th Avenue.
- The protestors sat in the street at 49th and 6th, a half mile away from the library. The library is not located on the corner where they tried and failed to krazy glue their asses to the street during a holiday parade.
