(1) You can rest assured that Sherrod Brown will get plenty of help from "the National Dems."

(2) In terms of building up Democratic infrastructure in the state, that is incumbent first and foremost on the Democrats of that state.

This same argument was made during previous election years. And -- just like then -- the response to this is that there are many better options where "the National Dems" should (and do) look to invest what limited resources they have.

When Ohio Democrats do what other state Democratic parties have done in terms of setting the foundation for Democrats as a party to be competitive again in that state, then the money should follow. As it stands, I can think of probably think of at least 10 to 20 states I'd rather invest in before Ohio comes up.
