I had a theory which I posted here many years ago... [View all]

I do believe that it was soon after I signed up here in 2004. As they said in Monty Python skit: I have a theory which is mine, belongs to me, and is mine too.

No: it isn’t that dinosaurs are thin at one end, thicker in the middle, and thin again at the other end. It is that the RW identifies a loudmouth, most preferably a female long-haired blonde, to state the most radical horseshit that can possibly emanate from a human’s mouth. My chosen example back then was Ann Coulter who became the model for the FOX News “broadcaster”, sitting at a table in a short skirt with her long, very shapely legs in the foreground, twirling her long blond hair onscreen in a “come-hither” fashion, spewing lies and anti-liberal/progressive phrases, cliches, and more lies.

The dichotomy is that the average American male is attracted to the hair and exposed legs - I know I am/have always been - and the verbiage is thus “Acceptable-to-wonderful” because it’s associated with a package of what appears to be nights of terrific sex.

So they sort of “popped up to an infielder” with that execrable MTG. She’s not bright, not glib, has zero charm or humor, and quite frankly is objectively unattractive unless you have a warped sense of beauty or some gal like her threw you over in Junior High and you’re still dealing with it. Someone must’ve heard that she was a blonde, cross-fit gym gal and had visions of Youporn dancing in his head. Hardly.

And I’m not being deliberately obnoxious or misogynistic. This is in fact what’s going on with the radical right. They use these women in particular to espouse extremism so that their typical RW repressive, disgusting individuals seem sane by comparison. If I had a dollar for every time I heard in the 1980’s, “Well, he/she is nowhere nearly as bad as Ann Coulter, I wouldn’t have to work. Yep…that’s the truth.
