The vice-president has weighed in on Special Counsel Hur’s report.

"As a former prosecutor, the comments that were made by that prosectuor ….gratutious, inaccurate, and inappropriate."

The vice-president went on to say that in the days, and now months, after the October 7 Hamas attacks, the president had full command of the US government response to the attacks.

"The way that the president's demeanor in that report was characterized could not be more wrong on the facts and clearly politically motivated. And so I will say when it comes to the role and responsibility of a prosecutor in a situation like that, we should expect that there would be a higher level of integrity than what we saw."
