In reply to the discussion: Trump May Be In Early Stages Of Alzheimers [View all]All Mixed Up
(597 posts)Alzheimer's can progress slowly but Trump has been in the presidential spotlight now for eight years and he looks just as deranged and confused as he did in 2016.
Just last week someone was posting a video of Trump confusing 9/11 with 7-Eleven. It was hilarious and total proof he's lost his shit.
Except the video was from 2016.
Even in the days of his presidency, he was confused. Like when he referred to Tim Cook as Tim Apple.
Or when, in 2017, he gave a speech and started walking out of the room when he was told he needed to sign some legislation - the whole point of being there.
Then there was his claiming in 2017 that Andrew Jackson was really angery about the Civil War - except the Civil War didn't start until years after Jackson's death.
Trump has always been a moron. I don't think he suffers from dementia. He just suffers from being an idiot.
Much like Bush.
I actually don't think it's productive to get into a dementia-off. I don't believe that helps win voters over and it just keeps the claims about Biden's mental acuity in the limelight.
Call Trump dumb. Attack how ill-equipped mentally he is to handle the presidency. But I see no reason to tie it to dementia or his age because, again, that just raises the issue with Biden too.
