(33,222 posts)The first being that TSF will play it like The Apprentice. Garnering even more free time in the MSM and here in teh DU. If this is the course look for him to ultimately choose some old white male milquetoast who doesnt threaten his gigantic soap bubble of an ego. Speaker Johnson would fill the bill in this case.
Another possibility is that like every other dictatorship in recorded history, he wont have a VP or heir apparent. Too risky that they have their own little coup. If this course is taken, look for the SCrOTUS to approve the move 9-0 because the need for a VP to be chosen as part of a ticket isnt specified in the US Constitution. As a backup plan, the SCrOTUS may say that since she was the second highest GrOPper delegate holder, Nikki Haley is the de facto VP. Alternately, they could rule that having Mike Johnson dual hatted as second in line is plenty good. Ever notice how acting is so often good enough for the GrOPpers?
The last possibility I had entertained (and the most likely) is that his oligarch patrons will insist on insuring their ROI by hand selecting a shadow to make sure TSF finds his way out of a window and takes his place in the inevitable future where TSF can not be counted on to do their bidding in a timely manner. These people are not playing around or by the rules.
Prove me wrong.
