So today I take a big step towards carbon neutral

6. I just bought a 2011 Prius two weeks ago.

I'm loving it. If my gauge is correct, I'm getting around 52-53 mpg average. I went from a 2004 Honda Odyssey to the Prius - saving me well over 150.00 per month in gas. (and thereby making it worth it to get an almost new vehicle).


Occasionally I'll need more space, but only rarely. Maybe I'll get a very light-weight trailer?


And if anyone out there wants to really lower their carbon footprint, I have a line (a friend is a car dealer) on a couple of slightly used Nissan LEAFs, for only about $20K!!. Just message me.

I thought long and hard about buying one... but since I live in a suburb and drive into town, there would just be too many times when I would need more range w/o taking time to recharge. But if I lived in the city, I would have purchased one in a heartbeat.
