... most people have a singular definition of "smart," which could best be applied to someone like Albert Einstein. You mentioned the term "street smart" (aka street wise). That points to something deeper... there are different types of "smart." Mathematics, sports, the arts... you get geniuses in many areas. Trump is a showman/conman. And, yes, he is great at what he does. He is the Muhammad Ali, Garbo, Elvis, and Einstein of his type. He inspires a fanaticism in his followers... he may be a textbook idiot, but he should be thought of as "smart" at what he does. He should not be underestimated.
