Two very different conventions [View all]
It occurred to me that with all the questions about trial dates, we may have forgotten about two scheduled dates this summer:
The Republican National Convention will be held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, July 15 to 18, 2024. This convention will be entirely about TSF and inane defenses of his many crimes for which he will likely still be under indictment. It will also likely be a forum about how political contributions should be poured down the drain of TSF's legal troubles.
The Democratic National Convention will be held at the United Center in Chicago August 19–22, 2024. I expect this to be a pretty normal upbeat political convention. Both Obamas will speak. A lot of donated money might be made available for downballot races. A bunch of party unity would be very effective here, to contrast with the judicial adversarial theme of TSF's event.
