Comcast, a publicly traded company. As such, the ONLY fiduciary responsibility of any corporate officer, including senior directors and producers is to generate shareholder profits.
They have ABSOLUTELY NO obligation to provide truth in the news reporting.
This is due to the truly toxic legal doctrine of shareholder primacy, which routinely holds shareholder profits above the interests of workers, consumers, including consumers of news, and the environment.
The bottom line is always PROFITS for Wall Street. This is why I'm fond of saying that shareholder primacy capitalism poisons and degrades everything it touches.
