Sure it's not as much as $454 million, but it's not exactly a small amount. He managed to get $91 million for a bond to appeal the E Jean Carroll ruling (which he will probably lose) but this is twice that amount, and he has 10 days to get it.
The bond is smaller, and some of the restrictions on his businesses have been temporarily lifted pending appeal, but he's on another 10 day countdown now.
The $454 million judgment is still in effect -- that hasn't been reduced -- so if he posts bond in 10 days and the appeal subsequently fails, he immediately loses that $175 million and has to pay the rest.
So while the bond amount is reduced, isn't he basically still in the same boat? We'll be spending the next 10 days as we did the last 10 days -- wondering where all those millions of dollars for the bond are going to come from.
I'm not trying to put lipstick on a pig here, but while this turn of events does reduce Trump's immediate burden, it hasn't put him in the clear. He's broke, his campaign is broke, he's embroiled in multiple civil and criminal trials, and despite today's news he's increasingly coming across as a whining loser...
