Early in the war, Europe was cautious about Russia due to oil dependence. Now that the war has dragged on for years, Europe is more loud about Russia now so I suspect European countries have found energy independence from Russia.

So besides starting a multi-front war or launching nukes, both of which will destroy Russia, what can Putin do? Russia has no other leverage besides rotting tanks and oil.
