75. This universe laughing at your plans stuff

May 2024

has happened to me a few times, and particularly to my best friend. It was back in the '80's, and she and her husband had their 37' teak sailboat, their Navy pension, and they were ready to sail around the world, which had been her husband's life-time dream. She was diagnosed with stage IV cancer, and was dead within 6 months. They knew what they were saving for, they thought that they had gotten every needed thing in place, and then HAH. Not so fast, there. My new mantra became "Plan for tomorrow, but live for today."

Even "dollar" stores are doing the same thing, though. eppur_se_muova May 2024 #1
