There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strand of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge".

However, thanks to cheato and his drooling followers, I would now change the last
few words to "my ignorance is better than your knowledge".

That's the mindset of cheato, his cult members, and unfortunately, a good portion of the corporate media going into this debate.
