(199 posts)have to be paid attention to, but have Schiff, Raskin, Pelosi, Schumer et al taken into consideration the effect this will have on the morale of the rank and file? Yes they will vote blue for whatever puppet the billionaires put in place, but are they going to get out there with the same energy and try to urge the undecideds and unengaged to vote? And how about those fence riders? They are going to see the Democratic Party as: in disarray; and comprised of people who can't be trusted to have the backs of their own (unlike the Republicans). Plus, they don't appear to understand understand how this move - done so publicly - compromises our messaging and actually reinforces the message that the Republicans were right all along about Joe. Have they not calculated the downside to all of this? If you are not already a "vote blue no matter who" person, why would you believe anything coming from the new candidate when they are not the one chosen by the people in the primary?
