usual blunt-force strategy (which has effectively, if not gracefully) served them somewhat well over the past seven years.

This weekend's events pulled the rug out from under them (hell, it pulled the rug out from under me!), and I think they're looking for sound footing right now, but everyone's yelling "it's over there!" "no, it's over there!" "look over here!"
