Sometimes it happens to be the wrong number.
I see on DU: "Why is Trump contacting me?" (Because they have the wrong number or email)

Subscriber info is most accurate for slightly older (established ) adults and is the least accurate for those under 25 (who may be under the parents' accounts) It also tends to be less accurate for people who change phone numbers or carriers frequently etc.

I've had my cell phone since 2012. A Republican named JG must have had this number before I had it. I have gotten texts for him. A friend was also reaching out to swing voters said she ended up contacting JG and realized it was my number. My phone and JG's phone number were both the same in VAN for awhile.

Land lines were much more accurate.
