But the point of the OP was "Look at what a big old hypocrite he is," not "Here's a juicy tidbit that will convince people not to vote for him."

As far as independent voters go, I think it's a safe bet that they won't all vote for Trump. They obviously didn't in 2020, or Biden wouldn't have won. (Fun fact: I'm married to an irritatingly independent voter who almost always votes Democratic, especially these days. He never has and never will vote for the Orange Hellbeast.)

The goal is to convince enough people (independent or otherwise) in enough of the battleground states that Kamala is the right choice and get enough of them to register and then actually vote. In other words, GOTV. It's a big job, but I believe it's doable. Hell, it HAS to be!
