As for VP Harris' running mate. I hope it is not Governor Shapiro. [View all]

I am not saying he would not be a good pick, but we need him here in PA. The GOP has had a death grip on the Senate and House for years. Although the Dems have held a 1 spot advantage recently in the house. The Senate has been in GOP control since the mid-90's. Without a Dem as Governor, this state will go straight down the drain. PA truly is Pittsburgh and Philly with Alabama in between.

I would also not like to see her pick a Dem Senator from any state. There is no guarantee we could hold that seat in an election. I think Gov. Walz would be an excellent choice. I have seen him on tv, and he is smart and confident. Also, he was in the service and from a rural area.

Mayor Pete would be great, but I am afraid the homophobes would have a field day with him running. He is probably the sharpest, most intelligent of all her options, but I think he is too risky of a bet at this point in time.

This is not an ordinary election. Not that the last seven or eight cycles have been "normal". But this country's future is riding on a Dem in the white house. And hopefully control of both houses of Congress.
