So today, two older white guys in my neighborhood with military background, whom I see on walks every day, [View all]

who have never had an overtly political conversation with me, both of whom I always inferred were Republicans,
started off our chats with how terrible they think Trump and Vance are.

I would bet a thousand dollars they both voted for him in 16. (Am friends with their wives.)

They knew how I think about these things because I have had a series of political bumper stickers, one or two at a time, for decades, that left no mystery. Only today were they moved to reach out in solidarity.
