21. Why have white males almost always been seen as the best candidate?

White males are only 30% of the population but hold 72% of elected offices.

Why is this? What does the data tell us? Let's just look at the gender variable.

1. It cannot be that males are better educated than women.

-Women are now graduating from college in greater numbers than men.
-There are five million more women than men who have college degrees in the US.
-Women are earning more PhDs than males.

2. It cannot be that women lack experience.

-College educated women now outnumber males in the US workforce.

3. It cannot be that men are seen as more decent or moral than females.

-93% of all prison inmates are males.
-Almost all rapists and murderers are male.

So we have to wonder why males are seen as the best candidates most of the time.
