2. Why would any Democrats care about what Manchin has to say?

He quit on us, he's stepping out of politics, he's too old and so what?

Now AOC, that's a different story. I DO care what she has to say, and appreciate her clear understanding of what it is going to take to beat this evil intrusion into our peaceful democracy in a way that the repudiation resonates around the world.
