Josh Hawley is Running Away from Debates [View all]
Lucan Kunce, the former Marine Officer and Democratic nominee running against Josh Hawley for Senator from Missouri, has challenged him to 5 debates. It appeared that immediately after the primary Hawley was going to accept at least one of them. But, as we have seen before, Hawley talks tough and acts brave for the cameras but then runs away when someone calls his bluff and stands up to his bluster.
Hawley posted on social media that he would be willing to debate Kunce as early as NEXT WEEK at the Missouri State Fair. Kunce immediately accepted, but wanted the debate televised so that everyone in Missouri could watch it. And it came together immediately, with local Missouri TV stations KSDK and KSHB agreeing to sponsor and televised the debate.

But wait, it turns out that Chicken Josh does want any part of something like a debate covered by neutral local TV stations. Oh no, what he wanted was a debate NOT on TV, sponsored only by an organization that endorsed him, packed with his fans. He says in this clip that he will only do a debate with the Farm Bureau, and only if it is not televised.
